Élan app for iPhone and iPad

Élan is a news/alert aggregation app driven by communities around the world. Communities (called Jamaats) will maintain several channels managed by clubs and other organizations to share information that users will find useful.

Due to the high adoption of the smartphone, communities can now easily distribute their notices and information faster, more cheaply and with a very small footprint to the environment.

In addition to plain text, the user will be able to receive files, images as well.

Standard viewing, sharing options are available and options such as calling and file downloading become active when available with the message. Any image that is included with the message will load as well. Users can also choose to delete any messages from the message list by swiping left.

The menu allows users to switch between the Elan (messages) screen and channels screen at any time. A link called Events will take the user to a list of the monthly events in the Hijri (Arabic) Calendar.
